Thank you, CHarper, one of the few shining lights at the Walford Web Bully Emporium.
The resident janus, Nebraska, has turned Tanya-apologist, in defending Tanya's hypocritical threat to tell Jack about Sharon kissing Phil. (My god, doesn't this all sound sophomoric?)
CHarper handed this woman her ass, as well as calling her out on abject rudeness, bordering on the bully malaise that drives John Swallow's site. Good. You can read her measured argument here.
I would also remind Nebraska that inasmuch as Tanya, rather weakly, stated that she maybe kinda shouldn't have married Greg, this much is the truth: She did far far worse to Greg than Sharon is doing to Phil. She married Greg as a trophy to dangle in front of Max whilst she continued to bait Max's fiancee' Vanessa and to make snide remarks to Max, all the while this was simply covering up her jealousy. On the day she maried Greg, she was all over Max like a bad rash in a place too apt for treating bad rashes - the hospital.
Within weeks, she'd fucked Max upstairs in his house whilst Vanessa and Tanya's husband, Greg, were downstairs. Later on, she rolled on the bed at their little hideaway with Max and joked about "Bob the Builder" babysitting their son. The final nail in the coffin was Tanya telling all and sundry in a desperate attempt to play the victim that Max coerced her into having an affair. It sounded as if she were forced, which would then make Max a rapist.
Tanya has no right to take the moral high ground with Sharon. I suspect Tanya's jealous that Sharon fucks Jack every night, even though she doesn't love him, while Tanya can only pass out drunkenly on a bed with a chaste Phil Mitchell.

Nah, I'm no Tanya-apologist. I generally can't stand her and have no issues in pointing it out. I also agree she's done far worse than Sharon. Still, Sharon's attitude is very Tanya-esque atm, and this triangle bores me silly, so I'm totally fine with Tanya calling her on it. She's like my in character-proxy; if Tanya slapped Sharon as well, and got her back to the character she used to be it would please me even more. She's horrible right now.
ReplyDeleteAs for being rude, yeah well, I learnt from the best.
