And Now for WalfordE20

One of Walford Web's Kindergarten's better babies slips up. WalfordE20 says:-

This brings me to Cora. Tonight reminded me just why I love her. Unlike her cow of a daughter, she doesn't judge people because she remembers where she herself has come from. She doesn't think she's above or beyond anyone, and uses her wisdom and perceptiveness to pick others up when they feel down.
Wally, you need to remember Patron Saint Cora threatening Janine during the early stages of her pregnancy and then bullying her on her wedding day - the very day Janine went into labour and gave birth to a premature child.

You need to remember Cora got an ASBO for bullying and threatening drunken behaviour towards a young single mother who lived on her previous estate.

Doesn't judge people, my ass ... she's one of the most judgemental old lags ever to set foot in Albert Square, and in a different way, she's just as snobbish and condescending as her daughter.

She's also a drunk.

And how about those great pieces of advice she gave Lola and Abi last night. That worked out so well for Lola, and her advice will probably result in Abi leaving her studies to shack up and hang out with Jay and Lola, two chavs with criminal records. I have a sixteen year-old daughter. If she had a relative or if there were a woman like Cora attempting to act as a self-appointed mentor to young girls in my neighbourhood, I'd make sure I kept my kid well away from her solicitous "advice."

And BY THE WAY, the Lola-Loses-Her-Baby Storyline has two purposes -

1. To allow Phil Mitchell to realise that he has a grandchild, and

2. To get people to sympathise with and like Lola, who - for the longest time - has simply been unlikeable. She still is.
