Digital Spy commentator DSWNSM remarks about Cora:-
Cora was five months pregnant with Tanya when she married Tanya's father. So, Cora got pregnant again by a man to whom she wasn't married. As it was obvious that her first pregnancy wasn't planned, it's just as obvious that Tanya wasn't planned either.
So Cora learned nothing from her first experience, but the difference was that whilst she put her first child up for adoption, she married the father of her second. In fact, until last night's episode, Tanya's father was the alleged love of Cora's life. And whilst Cora could claim the ignorance of youth when she conceived Ava, she was thirty years old when she got bunked up with Tanya and should have known a fair bit about contraception.
I think this and her totally self-centred, self-pitying, bitter and vindictive behaviour last night proves just what the commentator implied - that Tanya was an accident, and that both Cora's other children were inconveniences.
Easy to see now why both Tanya and Rainie turned out the way they did.
